Abstract

Decision-making is everywhere, whether at the personal or professional level so conflicting Criteria decision-making techniques have been a hot spot for researchers due to their inescapably for providing decisions in case of complex real-world problems in all fields. Despite the openness of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques in the field of research and development, there is a huge scope for further refinement. In this article, few models like Weighted Sum Model (WSM), Weighted Product Model (WPM) and Weighted Aggregated Sum-Product Assessment (WASPAS) have been elaborated on by considering a real-life decision-making problem. Where the Decision Maker (DM) has various preferences and different criteria and based on it DM has to make a decision. The overall purpose of this article is to provide the basis and mathematical background of a few MCDM techniques for an interested researcher.
