Characterization of the internal stabilizability of the diffusion equation

Abstract

In this paper we analyze the internal stabilizability of the diffusion equation. A necessary and sufficient condition of stabilizability is obtained for the linear model. If the stabilizability condition is satisfied we indicate an internal feedback stabilizing control for the linear model and for a more general semilinear model of diffusion.
