The chaotic heat equation

Abstract

The one dimensional heat equation
$$\dt =a\dxx +b\dx +cu$$ for $x\in \bbr,\; t\ge 0$ is governed by a chaotic semigroup for certain values of the coefficients $(a,b,c)\in \brrr$ on certain weighted supremum norm spaces.
