Diffusive instability in a Cavani-Farkas type prey-predator model
Abstract
In this paper a prey-predator model of the Cavani-Farkas type is considered by incorporating one dimensional self-diffusion. The model is further extended to the system with time-varying diffusion for the predator species. For constant and time-varying diffusion, a comparative study has been done. It is established that the system tends to
be more stable in case of time varying diffusion as compared to the case of constant diffusion.
