Some problems concerning the evaluation of the shape and size of the meniscus occurring in silicon tube growth

Abstract

The results of the meniscus dynamics and melt solidification investigation of the EFG silicon tube growth process obtained by B. Yang et al [J. Crystal Growth 293(2006) 509-516] are analyzed. It is shown that the approach that they use has at least one error and leads to unacceptable results.
