The boundary layer flowing through a porous barrier

Abstract

In this paper we study a non-uniform conducting fluid under the magnetic field, passing through a perforated wall. Consider a family of boundary-value problems with micro-inhomogeneities in the boundary conditions and with internal nontrivial microstructure. We derive the homogenized (limit) problem and prove the convergence of solutions of the original problems to the solutions of the homogenized one. Thus we describe the effective behavior of this microinhomogeneous fluid.
