On The Difference between Szeged index and the Wiener index
Abstract
In graph theory the topological indices are used as numerical parameters which are derived from any graphical structure. With the help of topological indices the molecular structures of hexane, heptane and the octane isomers are converting into numbers. The distance based topological indices of wiener index, Szeged index and the mostar index are calculated from the physical properties of the structural isomers of the alkanes hexane isomer, heptane isomer and octane isomer. In this article we are computing the relationship between the three topological indices and the physical properties of the structural isomers of the alkanes. Here we are using the correlation method for calculating the correlation value between the distance based topological indices and the physical properties of boiling point (Bp), molar volume (Mv), heats of vaporization (Hv), surface tension (St), and melting point (Mp).In this paper we compute the correlation of the distance based topological indices and the physical properties of the structural isomers of the alkanes. Also we find that which indices are the best indices for predicting the physical properties of the structural isomers of the alkanes.
