Abstract

Today, because infectious diseases have a large impact on people, control methods for all infectious diseases are crucial. In this paper, we propose a SIQR model with Crowley-Martin type incidence rate and
saturated treatment. We have incorporated precautionary measures taken by the population through the saturated incidence rate. Screening of individuals who have come into contact with infected individuals
is modelled. Thus, we explore a four-dimensional mathematical model to study the dynamics of the infectious diseases and their management. Stability and bifurcation analysis of the system is done. The
sensitivity analysis of all parameters in relation to the basic reproduction number has been performed and the theoretical results have been validated using numerical simulation. Mathematical results in this paper
suggest that both government interventions and individual efforts must be incorporated to achieve better control of emerging infectious diseases in the population.
