Exponential decay for a thermoelastic porous system of type III with delay term

Abstract

In this paper, we consider one-dimensional porous-elastic system in thermoelasticity of type III with delay term in the first equation. Under appropriate assumption on the weight of the delay and by constructing suitable Lyapunov functional, we establish an exponential decay result for the energy of the system in the case of equal speeds of propagation.
