Ellipsoidal Chaos

Abstract

Bounded chaotic attractors are very interesting theoretically and experimentally. We report in this paper sufficient conditions for a general 3-D dynamical system to be contained in an ellipsoidal set. The resulting chaotic attractor is called Ellipsoidal Chaos. We prove also that the set of ellipsoidal chaos is not empty because the Lorenz system belongs to this class.
