Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is a common platform that brings various devices together which have communicating properties. So IoT need a protocol that helps it to communicate it like TCP, UDP, XMPP MQTT, etc. These protocols offer congestion control too. As the number of devices is increasing, congestion will increase too. In the current situation TCP deals with congestion control on the transport layer. There are many versions of TCP available but not able to deal with congestion in IoT devices. Therefore this paper focuses on various congestion control algorithms of TCP as well as MPTCP.
