Abstract

Load Frequency control (LFC) performed an obligatory existence to preserve the frequency precept for power system operation and control. Therefore, the first step is mathematical modeling is expected to observe the behavior and performance of Load Frequency Control. Since, LFC is an assorted system, its complexity consists of having higher order transfer function. So, it is laggard to study it. This paper presents various model order reduction (MOR) schemes disserted and implemented for the system. Total of six different model order reduction schemes have been applied for the non-reheated turbine with droop characteristics and without droop characteristics of LFC scheme and time and frequency domain parameters determined and compared. For example, rise time, peak time, gain and phase margin and Integral square error etc. Therefore, on the basic installation of systems, system engineer has to pick the distinctive reduced model for analysis and controller synthesis.
